6 years and counting

I started out here (on Steemit) from scratch, I just had the 5 SP that was delegated to me, and that was it. I didn't buy any Steem in the first 5 years.
I just let my account grow organically, and I can tell you, it went slow, very slow.
In the beginning, a post earning 7 cents was a huge one. But, I didn't give up, and slowly but surely I started to grow an audience, and here and there my posts got noticed. I once even got a 100 USD upvote from @blocktrades. That just tripled my account in a matter of a week.

And look where we are now. Thanks to communities like Leofinance, Sportstalk, Proofofbrain, etc... I managed to get even more traction, and some of the tokens earned in some communities came in handy to grow my Hive Power. This year, I profited from some moments when Hive was very low, to buy some extra. It has delivered, not much yet, but it has, and look, my account is now at 25000 Hive Power. Which is just awesome. I am almost half an orca.
Which is kind of like my body type in real life.

Never give up

The motto of my favourite football team, Cercle Brugge, is "Never give up". And they managed to avoid relegation with that slogan a few years ago from an almost lost position. This motto has helped me in real life, and it has helped me here and on all the communities too. It pays off, to never give up. Keep on trying, keep on Hiving. And those rewards will come. And who knows what this blockchain and its communities like Leofinance will bring in the future. I expect a lot from it!
