No the way it works is whatever is connected to the shunt is a line voltage control wire. Which trips the breaker. It can be an all stop button at a gas station or a woodshop. This is in the kitchen. When the fire prevention system activates it trips the breaker to kill power to the affected area. In this case they're tied together.
