Observados - Observed

En ocasiones cuando voy caminando por ahí me siento observado y ello me incomoda. Cuando la moral está baja esa situación suele generar mucha más incomodidad, no por nada en especial, sino porque me gusta pasar desapercibido, casi como si fuese un fantasma.

Sometimes when I'm walking around I feel watched and it makes me uncomfortable. When morale is low that situation tends to make me much more uncomfortable, not because of anything special, but because I like to go unnoticed, almost as if I were a ghost.

En esos momentos donde nos sentimos chatos, muy cerquita del piso parecería que todas las miradas están puestas en uno, y me pregunto en reiteradas ocasiones del ¿por qué?

In those moments when we feel flat, very close to the ground, it seems that all eyes are on us, and I ask myself repeatedly why?

Cuando nuestro semblante mejora y comenzamos a sentirnos más fuertes, más seguros de nosotros mismos esas miradas que antes sentíamos sobre nuestras espaldas como una gran mochila tienden a desaparecer y terminamos entendiendo algo que es fundamental: "Las miradas tienen el poder que quien las recibe decide darle"

When our countenance improves and we begin to feel stronger, more self-confident, those looks that we used to feel on our backs like a big backpack tend to disappear and we end up understanding something that is fundamental: "Looks have the power that those who receive them decide to give them".

Allí descubrimos que nosotros somos quienes tenemos el poder para dejar que esas miradas de terceros ajenos nos penetren y nos empujen hacia el suelo, nos pongan de rodilla.

There we discover that we are the ones who have the power to let the gazes of outsiders penetrate us and push us to the ground, to bring us to our knees.

Hace mucho tiempo aprendí a mantener la mirada firme, ano dejarme amedrentar ante la mirada de esas personas que solo intentan hacernos sentir menos.

A long time ago I learnt to keep my gaze steady, not to let myself be intimidated by the gaze of those people who only try to make us feel lesser.

Estas simpáticas lechuzas tienen una mirada profunda e intensa, pero en ellas se deja ver la ternura de los seres que solo intentan mantenerse protegidas.

These friendly owls have a deep and intense gaze, but in them you can see the tenderness of beings that are only trying to keep themselves protected.
