Assistant Coach

For a coach to have an assistance, it doesn't mean he can't do it alone but he need someone he can talk to when things go wrong he need someone that knows about football that can advice him, not that necessary to heed the advice but at least someone can advice him and the credit would go to the coach not to the assistant but a good heart would let the world know when he's interviewed but they don't, maybe they are afraid that they would be sacked and their assistant would take their place. I never see any coach praising his assistant that he help him win a match.

When Arteta was still assisting Pep Guardiola in Manchester City, Arteta must have been helping Pep, but Pep won't ever mention it to the world because of his status as a popular coach. And Mikel Arteta must be a good coach that is helping Guardiola because it's very obvious in his coaching skill at Arsenal. Even Carlo Ancelotti never announce that his son (David Ancelotti) is the one that help him win and it's normal for him to help his father because he's his assistant and he's the one that is still helping him, his style might have go out of date

Carlo Ancelotti is one of the old coach, he's obviously very old so I'm surprised has his style is still not outdated if not someone giving him hints or telling him what to do to beat those young coaches that their brain is still very much fresh and new but we do see Carlo calling David to come when things seems go wrong, and David would advice him on what to do. The Ancelotti family own is obvious, other coaches also have assistance but it's not obvious that their assistance help them as well, although some assistance are just there for nothing.

Another good example is Michael Carrick, he also secured 4 points after Ole Gunner Solskjear was sacked. I could remember how Manchester United played in the Champions League group stage that he had the chance to be at the pitch side, they played like the Manchester United that used to play under Sir Alex Ferguson but Manchester United didn't give him chance to proof himself, to show what he have as a coach. If they had give Carrick chance to show what he have, he may not even worst like Ralf Ragnick that his contract just lapse.
