Dating Saga: A freewrite

As a little child we were told different stories about dating both good and bad ones to the best of my knowledge it has always been more of the bad ones just to scare us away. Since most parents then shy away from teaching their children sex education, core values about themselves even building up there self-esteem, placing value on life and humanity, because most parent believe it will be thought in schools. Growing up we grew with the wrong perception of dating and some times we confuse friendship with the opposite sex with dating. It was when we grew older that we became exposed through reading , going to seminars, mixing with friends that we get to understand something and to pick the truth and leave the lies from what we are being told.

My question is how many people have this opportunities don't many learn in the wrong way or through bad experiences. What they told us then wasn't my problem actually but the fact that the shy away from teaching us the right thing which in turn is the problem many of us (girls in particular ) has.

Growing up we heard alot of things some which when you think of it you will say to yourself that it can't be true but honestly speaking they are true. I have severally heard about boyfriends beating up there girlfriends and I am like it can't be true and some times I just ignore it because I am yet to find the possibility of that. I just feel how will you not be married to man and he is beating you and you just decided to stay or what is it you are getting from the relationship that is more important than your life? But I find out that I was wrong so many ladies don't think in this line they don't believe there life is worth more than any silver or gold. This gives me a double pointed pain, a pain in the heart and a pain in my head.

Because of so much work yesterday I ended up having my night shower around midnight although, it wasn't strange. I went to have my bath while brushing my teeth I heard my neighbor and her girlfriend qaurrelling (its normal lovers has misunderstanding). I just went on with what I was doing because that wasn't my business to start with. Few minutes later from the bathroom I was hearing screaming and scattering sound, I couldn't believe my ears so I stopped what I was doing to listen carefully behold the guy was actually beating the girl. Chai at this point I was infuriated at the same time my heart was beating faster than normal as if I was the one in the situation cox I was like what kind of stupidity is this. Only for me to later found out that, that wasn't the first time and some people where actually supporting the guy, then I realize that in one way or the other the society has also contributed to the unruly behavior of some guys and has also made ladies has low self esteem or value for there life and body.
