Ugly Win But It's 3 Points.

Wolverhampton Wanderers hosted Manchester United in a game that saw Varane and Sancho made their full Manchester United debut as a starter - the first game for Varane actually but Sancho has had 2 substitute appearances.

There was hope and optimism in the air and United were motivated to start the game with the news of Cristiano Ronaldo still buzzing around the ground. This game also saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with his 100th game as a manager for Manchester United.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have always been a thorn in the flesh for Manchester United and they proved to be yet again after they bombarded United with series of breathtaking attacks but they were unlucky to fall short. They lost another 1-0 which has been the results they've gotten so far this season with their 3rd loss of the season. United stretched their away unbeaten record to 28 which is the most so far in the league and that has been 19 months of hard work from United.

Adama Traore burst forward in the 4th minute after skipping past Paul Pogba. He went one on one with Varane before laying the pass to Raul Jimenez whose shot was saved by the feet of De Gea. Shortly after, Wolves produced another counter after Fred couldn't get hold of the ball. Trincao was given too much space as he strolled into the box but the ball was blocked off from crossing the line by Wan Bissaka after beating De Gea.

Wolves were doing everything possible to get their first win of the season.

Marcal's long ball caused an issue for Sancho as he was trying to head the ball to Shaw after stopping a potential attempt from Wolves. His header missed and found Joao Moutinho right in position but his attempt shockingly went over the bar. Wolves were all over United at this point in the game.

Saiss should have given his side the lead in the 26th minute after Raul Jimenez was found. His cut through found Saiss who attempted the acrobatic volley that flashed just wide. What a goal it would have been even though it would be subjected to a VAR check for a possible offside.

United got a goal in the 38th minute after a long ball found Fernandes. He strolled through and blasted the ball into the back of the net but it was correctly ruled for offside.

United got another chance in the 45th minute to go ahead after a brilliant Bruno Fernandes' flick found Greenwood who expertly raced on goal from the side and unleashed a lovely shot that was unlucky to miss the target just marginally.

United missed another chance to go ahead with their first shot on target in the 59th minute. Pogba expertly found Fernandes and he tried to find Sancho who was lurking but the attempt was cut out and it fell to Fred whose shot was comfortably saved by the goalkeeper. It was straight and direct which makes it easy for the goalkeeper.

A shocking miss from Trincao came in the 63rd minute after Joao Moutinho found Adama Traore on the sideline. His cutback found Trincao who had to bubble the ball rather than smash it home.

De Gea produced a double save from a Joao Moutinho's corner kick after Saiss got his head to it. De Gea saved the header and then blocked off the resulting rebound from Saiss after he hit it with his feet. It was the saving moment at that point for United in the 68th minute.

United finally got their goal in the 80th minute. It was a long wait but finally, Greenwood broke the deadlock after he was found on the right-hand side of the pitch by the new boy, Varane. He drove in and blasted his shot right into the back of the net with his right foot. Impressive.

The game ended 1-0 in favour of Manchester United who had to dig deep and withstand the pressure from Wolves to come out victorious. It wasn't a convincing performance but they got the needed win to move to 7 points and 3rd just behind table toppers, Tottenham with 9 points and West Ham in 2nd. It was an ugly win for Manchester United but in football, it's a result business.

Wolves played better than manchester united but still they lost the game, the same thing happened when they played Totthenham they had about 23 shots and we're not able to score a goal, but I think they are now playing better than last season. Then as for greenwood he is very good ,he is such an amazing player ,young and talented as well. Thanks for posting sir.
