Go To The Ants.

Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise. Which, having no captain, overseer or ruler provides her supplies in the summer and gathers her food in the harvest.

It is interesting that the text today refers us to one of the tiniest animals on earth – ants. Solomon was invariably sending the sluggard to the ant to go and learn some vital lessons. God has made everything in life for us to learn from. Nothing is too insignificant for us to learn from.

It is not unusual for GOD to use animals to teach human beings key life lessons especially when man who has been given charge and dominion over all creations begins to act in ways that are beneath his position when compared to these animals. God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wisdom of the wise, so everything has been mandated for us to learn from even though we have dominion over all.

Balaam’s donkey needed to speak in order to show the prophet the stupidity of his ways as written in 2 Peter 2:16. Jesus needed to remind the people of times that birds seemed to have more confidence in GOD’s ability to provide for their needs when compared to the worrying tendencies of men about what to eat and drink.

Matthew 6: 26 - Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

The lesson to be learnt from the ants is that of self-leadership. Without a captain, overseer or ruler, ants set out to gather food and store food at the right time and season. They know when to go and gather in, they know when to stay in and feed on what has been gathered. They know when they should give support to each other so as to be able to assist in the in-gathering.

Self-leadership means actively developing a confident sense of who you are, taking ownership of what you do, and being intentional about where you are going. While GOD has delivered all things unto our hands, it is our responsibility to take charge and take hold of all that grace has delivered. God won't do for us what He has given us the common sense, wisdom, strength and ability to do.

We are still new in March so I would say, Welcome to March and I have tagged it my month of “TAKING CHARGE”. It is time to exercise and experience dominion through self-leadership. Are you ready to take your rightful place? What are you going to name March?

The governmental grace is upon you this year, it is time to take charge of all that GOD has committed unto your hands. He has given us all things but we need to ask. The problem with the prodigal son wasn't because he asked, but because he squandered it which was why he was named prodigal. He knew his rights and asked for it. The elder brother didn't know of his rights which was why the Father in the text told him all things were his...but he never asked. God is ready to give us the things we need, but we need to ask and then use them for the right purpose because God is not a waster... Ants don't waste either.

I am thankful to God for bringing me into the month of March. I believe I will enjoy the fullness of His grace to conduct my affairs aright and walk in the fullness of the dominion that He has given unto me. Amen.

Thank you for your time.
