gigantic structures in my small town

Ok guys here are some pictures from my weekend outings, all I love doing most weekends is to take a walk. Just go places for sight seeing while with my phone I take pictures.

Today what caught my attention was buildings around. I always love to admire structure of buildings. I do have a second thought on studying arts and design instead of electrical electronics,🤔 or what do you suggest which is most important?

Here we have a new building, it's gonna be a hotel. this one I do admire a lot, but what surprise me is how fast they were building it, as it is it's not up to 6 months they start the building but see were they are now🙄 well I guess the engineers know what they are doing. And I know quiet well that they must have sink millions of dollars into this building yet they keep saying they is no money in the country 🤣

Here is a structure it's one of the oldest structure in our locality, I am very afraid of that building since it has stayed for years, and can collapse anytime 😰.

Here is another building it's a loge house for the students of the university of uyo, but I think the position of the building is wrong, why is it so? Well because it's place for students it should be far away from the road, onlike this one it's just by the side of the busy road,

This is one of the coolest mall in the area why so, from the first to the last floor is used for the mall. I don't like buildings that are just tall with no fancy designs hope you get what am saying? I sometimes imagine the wind coming up one day to pull it down lol..

This one is another one I admire, but one crazy thing about it is when ever they go up high to mount an advert poster they will be like ant up there and I would be on the ground crying, this one the finishing touches is another thing that I love most, they covered all the building with steel sheet.

Below is a building of a church in my area. its not too big but very well structured. the engineer needs to be giving tombs up for work well done, though they are still doing some finishing touches, after its done the church will be one of the finest in town.

But do you know that houses built nowadays are not very strong? compered to the ones that were back in those old good days. imagine the house my grandpa built is still very much strong. even with its old fashioned design, but you won't believe if I say its stronger than most of the ones built today, now the question I want to ask is why is it so?

just of recent I watched in the news how a building that was built and is not up to a year collapse, am still wondering is the fault from the engineers or the building materials that are produced now? that is why I advise anyone having plans of getting a house to build not buy. because most people rush into building houses that are not strong and at the end of the day sell it out and cause trouble for others.
