My life in a Private and Public School

INTRODUCTION

Greetings everyone and welcome to my blog.

The art of education has been in existence for ages and it has helped shaped not only children but also adults.

Education is a very vital thing in the life of everyone and it is quite difficult for someone who is not educated to survive in life.

One place where this education can be passed is "school." A school is basically a place where the learners buy knowledge by paying attention as well as some fees (depending on the school though).

There are two type of schools and these are private school and public school.

Public school is owned by the government and offers free education to it's pupil but some demands little pay before the pupil start school. The private school is quite the opposite, because it is owned by an individual. unlike the public school, the fees are much to pay in private schools.

On this note, I will love to make this post as an entry to a contest in the hive learners community and I hope you find this post interesting and educative.

Let's begin shall we?

WHICH DID YOU ATTEND?

Excited Seinfeld GIF
I attended both private and public schools.
My first private school was Madona secondary school in Kaduna state Nigeria, after which I transfered to Graceland international school in Kaduna state. Then I transfered to imo state Nigeria and attend Ibeme High School (IHS) which is also a private school.

Then I attended a public school called "Primary" in Kaduna state and currently I'm studying in a state university in Abia state Nigeria, equally owned by the government.

DID YOU ENJOY YOUR SCHOOLING?

YES FOR SURE.

I really enjoyed schooling in all of the schools, and even where I'm school currently.

My schools are always fun and their extra curricular activities are the best to be honest. We do fight academically for first position then in my primary and secondary school and those fight were very much fun. I can remember back then, I was the class monitor of my class and I did everything in my power to uphold transparency as well as justice and, you know it......... FUN ACTS😁😁😹

I benefitted alot from my school, including ibeme high school to be precise, because I learnt the act of leadership there, and I also became very serious with my studies.. I was given the position of the senior prefect after serving as the class monitor for 2 years. I learnt how to listen to people, counsel people as well as help people when they need motivation. I learnt a lot from my school to be honest and if I'm given a chance, I'll re-live those days again.

WHAT WERE THE BENEFITS OF YOUR TYPE OF SCHOOLING?

Since I attended both types of school, I will say the benefits of both..

Let's start with the private schools.

Private schools are very good to be honest and they have the highest rules and discipline. They help in he students the students punctuality, mental assessment, emotional assessment as well as physical and psychological assessment, they go over board to form close bonds with the pupils parent or guardians so as to help in being a positive agent of socialization.

Let's talk about public school.

Public school on he other hand is slightly trying in their works no doubt but they don't really care about the pupil. They have the best teachers and a person who is ready to learn, will learn perfectly in a public school because the government have already equiped it with all the materials needed for learning.

WHAT DO YOU FEEL NEEDS TO BE CHANGED ABOUT THEM?

Well, as we all know, nothing is perfect. Let's start with the private school.

In the private school, I think that they are over protective of their pupil and as such, they over purnish them.. (speaking from the perspective of a Nigerian student).

Hope you're enjoying the post?😁😁 I feel honored.. thank you

I could remember back in the day when I was so scared of one of my teachers in Graceland international school to the extent that my mom had to tell him to reduce the way he flogs. He was passing by my house side and immediately I saw him, I ran inside the house and hid, and my mom noticed it... she had to call him one side and talk to him about it, after which my mom told me to calm down, that she has already talked to him.. funny enough, this man is a pastor 😫This man is ready to flog a student over a hundred strokes of the cain because of late coming and he was the most feared in school.. his name is Pastor Stephen Moses.

Thank God I'm out of the school.
So, from my story above, I think that private schools needs t reduce the way they discipline their pupils and do it with love.

Should I continue?

Alright here you go

Public school one the other hand should learn the act of disciple and stop keeping their pupils like sheeps without shephard. Students fo anything they want, any time they want and go free with it, students are ready to fight their teachers if they discipline them and there is a very low rate of security in a public school.

Teenage pregnancy in public school is high, as a girl of 16 will be seen pregnant with her not knowing who is responsible for it.
So I think these things should be changed as it not only brings about negative agents of socialization but it also impacts the future of the student negatively.

CONCLUSION

School is a place where education is being passed to pupils at little or no cost. It has its own advantages but it's disadvantages should be strictly looked up as it could ruin the future of a bright child. Remember, the determinant of wether or not a child is successful in life is dependent on the agent of socialization. A positive agent of socialization to the children will bring about a better future but a negative one will bring about doom.

Thank you for stopping by my post.

I really appreciate that you read to the end. Have a lovely day.

I shock here. Lol🤣
Public schools in my state offer free education on a tenure basis. I enjoyed free education during my time but students in that school are now paying school fees. Government dn change hand lol🤣

It's a nice thing to have both experience of the school in either primary or secondary school so as to know the difference.

But for Tertiary institution, average Nigerian parents prefer the government owned institutions because of the fee. They can't kill themselves o cause of school fees
