You're not overreacting over anything, I feel it's immature and childish to just show up at someone's doorstep without informing the person.
But on the other hand, it depends on the type of relationship you have with the person. I wouldn't mind my siblings coming to visit me unannounced or even my boyfriend. It's a problem when that's like their hobby like they never call. But I love surprises so showing up unannounced once in a while wouldn'tt hurt😆

It's fine if you like getting surprised every now and then.. It does sounds like fun but I'm not sure I want that either. I just prefer knowing about things happening around me and not being taken by surprise.
Yeah, I totally understand
