Evening Run

I just finished a 8.43km running that lasted about 0hh:40mm:51ss !

With the couple of warmer days we had, at least there's no question about the spikes, it's a no. They would get too damaged. But with all the snow that melted, there's plenty of water puddles, and when I went for my run at night, some of them were already freezing over. Some areas were really slippery and I had to be very careful. That slowed me down a bit, but overall the pace was significantly better than the last few runs, mostly because of the dry parts in the road where I could run normally. It did feel like hard work though. And by the end, I had a really bad stomachache. I was actually planning to reach at least 10k, but it was getting really painful, and I decided to cut it a bit shorter.

The temperature just below freezing now feels too warm! I was overheating pretty quickly, even though I was only wearing short and t-shirt. It's Michigan, so I'm sure we'll get a few more cold days but I'm worried winter is almost over already, and we'll be back to the warm weather I hate way too soon. Unlike many people, I'm much more active and outdoor during the cold winter. So, we'll see this year how it goes.

One thing for sure is that with 36km only so far in February, I'm a little behind where I want to be. Let's see if I can get the mileage back up.
Till then, keep Exhausting!

It was better indeed. Easier terrain makes a big difference.
Have a great week end and keep on running!
