Back in training - Night Run

I just finished a 8.674km running that lasted about 0hh:40mm:38ss !

No run since last Friday, 5 full days! After being quite consistent, that's an unusual break. As always, plenty of reasons for the break, some results to deliver at work, the weather, the busy long Thanksgiving week end, but most of all, the huge amount of time wasted procrastinating. Anyways, I really wanted to resume my training tonight and I chose to go easy on the run, as if the break had been much longer. Of course, I'm not very good at that, and I ended up running longer and a bit faster than expected. Still significantly slower than the past few runs though.

Near the end of the fourth mile, my stomach started to hurt. So to stay on the safe side, I ran back directly, instead of adding my usual extra loops near the end. I felt as though I could have run much longer though. Maybe these few days off did me good. By the time I got home, my stomach was pretty much back to normal already, but with stomach issues, I always follow the saying "better safe than sorry"...

After messing up the end of November (finally never reached the 120km I was hoping), that's a good running start to December. Hopefully I can keep that up early in the month, because the end of the month will be busy with most likely some travel.
