A little faster - Evening Run

I just finished a 8.66km running that lasted about 0hh:37mm:46ss !

As most Saturdays, I got up very late, already in the afternoon. But I thought I still had plenty of time to do what I needed, and still go for a longer run, and even maybe warm up for once. Well, due mostly to my laziness, the plan got completely derailed, and I ended up starting just before nightfall once again, and without any warm up at all. Just like most runs... So, I chose a very similar route than yesterday, but I just added a little bit more distance, enough to reach over 5 miles.

The main difference is that I felt much better, and my pace was significantly faster. Because it actually felt kind of chilly at the beginning, I started at a good pace. Surprisingly, as can be seen on the mile splits below, I was able to sustain that pace and even speed up a little for the last mile or so. The average pace at 7:01 min/mile is my best in a long while, particularly for more than 5 miles. Hopefully that is progress, but I'm also sure the temperature helped as well. As I said often, I hate the summer heat, and today around 15C and low humidity was much better. The other good news is that I didn't feel my adductors today, still not sure why this was painful for a few minutes during yesterday run.

Now I'll probably rest Sunday (at least running wise), because I have some things to do at home and in the yard, and hopefully I can confirm the progress on the next run, most likely on Monday.
