Night run - 10k again

I just finished a 10.730km running that lasted about 0hh:50mm:57ss !

Yes, we got new snow! Just enough to cover the sides of most streets and pathways. By the time I went for my run, the streets were pretty much clear and it didn't affect my run at all. I chose the exact same route as Tuesday run. I just wanted to check if I could repeat similar performance even when feeling not so good (I felt heavy and sluggish from the very start). Similar scenario: three decent first miles, then sharp drop in pace. The difference is that Tuesday I was able to pick the pace back up a little, this time I didn't have the juice. That's why the overall average pace is slower, somewhere around 7:38 min/mile. Still not really slow, but much slower than my target.

Just like Tuesday, I tried focusing again on my cadence. Even after getting really tired, I kept thinking 'shorter/faster stride'. And it was better, more than half the run in target range! It still feels kind of unnatural, but it's getting better. On short runs, it probably doesn't matter too much, but it's likely to help on longer runs. I still think at some point I should spend some time with a physio or something like that to improve my running form. When you get older, that becomes more important!

40km so far this month. Still on target to get over 100km, let's see if I can go higher.
Keep on running!
