My Actifit Report Card: February 10 2024

Hey Actifitters,

We had some sun again yesterday. It was also a bit colder, finally. Still far from freezing unfortunately, but at least not spring-like like the day before. Le Chat must have liked it because she spent most of the day at her usual spot on the deck. When we asked her if she wanted to go for a walk with us, she just yawned, then gave us her usual overwhelmed-with-joy look...

So we left her and went to the forest with Kaia. The past few days, we mostly walked at night, so it was nice to be there during daylight for once.

I didn't even need to guess where Kaia was when she climbed on that mulch pile.

It's been months since the storms but it's still impressive to see this area where all the trees broke down and fell.

Just like in my yard, it seems the wind is not always the only culprit, lots of branches are kind of hollow. Not sure if it's bugs infestation or something else.

As I often do, I let Kaia decide where to go next. She led us on the trails and even a bit off-trail, visiting the whole forest.

Surprisingly, in spite of all the clouds, the sun made a brighter apparition. It seems Kaia didn't know which trail to follow, left or right?

It almost looked as though we were going to get a sunset. And it brought some great golden hours colors.

To our disappointment though, clouds came back and no sunset. Kaia wanted to stay longer in the forest apparently.

But we started a long couple of loops in the extended neighborhood to get Cubiverse vaults again. There are bonuses because of lunar new year, so I wanted to get more vaults than usual. But really it was an excuse for a longer walk.

It's strange to still see a little daylight till at least 6:30pm now, I hadn't realized days were already significantly longer. When we passed by the golf course, I didn't even need night mode for photos.

And we finally made our way back home. It was a good walk and the rest of the day was mostly quiet.
