My Actifit Report Card: December 19 2023
Hey Actifitters,
Great combo yesterday: sun and snow!
But like I said in my previous report, it was just a dusting and with warm temperatures, we knew it wouldn't last, so we had to enjoy it as much as possible. To optimize our time outdoors, a good way was to get my afternoon espressos on the deck while Kaia had fun in the snow.
And of course, a bit later, we started our long walk of the day. The plan was typical: a short stop behind the front yard so Kaia can explore a bit, the sunset near the golf course and finally the forest. So here we are first behind the front yard.
Then we headed West for the sunset.
That building is on the way, it's a shame.
But we just found better views by going further North.
I know I shared many similar views over the years, but I just can never get enough of it, and it's even better with a little bit of snow.
But, according to plan, we left this beauty behind to go to the forest.
It had been a while but we saw plenty of deer on the way. Maybe just like us, they were waiting for colder temperatures.
When we arrive from the golf course, we stop at our tree friend first. Still all its leaves!
Then we quickly went on the trails. Not a whole lot of snow, but we were glad it stayed in spite of the sun.
Kaia enjoyed her off-leash time of course.
In between the tree branches, some really cool views opened up on the Moon. It's not easy to catch it when it's not fully dark yet.
We also found another renovated teepee. Good job on this one.
Kaia had to visit of course. So curious this one!
I mentioned some time ago that some of the trails had been covered with mulch from the trees. It's spongy but it keeps the snow.
As soon as we were back on the uncovered trails, no snow anymore.
I really wanted to enjoy this weather as much as possible, so once again we added a few miles in the neighborhood.
And that was it for the day. Too bad this snow won't last because it's always a lot of fun! Le Chat doesn't seem to think so though. This was her when we came back home...

Yep, it's a nice combo, too bad it didn't last. And no more snow for at least several days, I'll be gone for a couple weeks after that, we'll see in January if it gets better.
Yeah, Le Chat stays inside sometimes, but often she still prefers spending the night outside. Maybe she hunts at night, not sure.
