My Actifit Report Card: December 18 2023

Snow!!!! Yep, Kaia was really excited because of the little snow we got yesterday. It was just a dusting, but we'll take it, it's better than nothing!

After the shock, she went back to patroling the yard of course.

And behind the front yard.

But with a weather like that, no way we were skipping our usual walk to the forest!

Like I said, it was just a dusting, it didn't even stick to the trails, only on the sides.

Where all the trees fell down with the storms a few months ago, the area was slowly getting covered though.

With deep snow, it's easier for Kaia to chase critters, but that wasn't sufficient to make a difference here, she didn't catch anything.

The other advantage of snow is the brightness. We could stay long after dusk, and still feel like it was daylight.

But at some point, it was time to walk back home. Just one little stop at our tree friend of course. Like I said, I will monitor it until it loses its leaves, whenever that happens.

Then we followed the edge of the forest for a bit. Just like on the trails, the snow didn't stick to any asphalt paths or streets. I guess it's a good thing for people who had to drive.

And that was it. Even if it wasn't much, it's good to see some snow. It probably won't last long though, as it's too warm. So we have to enjoy it while it does.
