Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 3 - The Dance - My entry

"The Dance"

I captured this nice moment between that gorgeous pair of Dalmatian Pelicans at the beautiful lake Kerkini, a national park in Northern Greece.

The Dance is for two, right? :)

They are such big birds! Great capture of this dance!

Thank you :) They are indeed very big and very shy :) Also it appears they remember faces and tend to get closer when they know better the person approaching them :) Quite impressive :)

I didn't know that! They must be very intelligent birds.

Yes :) Now I remember at the same place I saw a stork begging for food like cats do looking the person in the eyes, just clattering instead :)

I have Woodpeckers that beg! If the feeder is empty they come tap on the window to get my attention!

Hehehe :) That sounds quite nice actually :)
I see large woodpeckers with yellow triangles on their wings in our yard as there is a semi-dead paulownia tree and some days they knock all the time looking for insects. But again, very shy and hard to photograph properly from a close distance.
