Connecting people? My entry today to the #monomad daily contest by @monochromes

When the Covid pandemic and the lockdowns started back in 2020, I was thinking, well, all this isolation will make us connect to each other more, speak over the phone more, chat more, write emails more often... Well, now I feel nothing like this actually happened. Moreover, in some cases actually some "ties" have been cut.

That isn't bothering me much, to be honest. I have always put my focus on quality than quantity. I am a person who has a handful of friends I can always rely on. I actually believe it is impossible to have several good friends, as friendship requires lots of input-output activities, if you know what I mean... Аcquaintances are not friends, right?

So interesting that all the "communication energy" during those last couple of years somehow shifted to other people. Even more interesting to me is the fact that some of the people I've been hearing over the phone more lately, are exactly some of the people I met on my multiple photographic travels, mostly around Europe.

Here are a few visuals to illustrate my thoughts today...

You probably know by now how much I love Black & White or sometimes referred as Monochromatic photography. I have always believed that while Color Photography shows the external part of our world, Black and White Photography shows the soul, the inner hidden side of everything. Please consider the first photo of this post as my entry today to the established #monomad daily contest by the monochromes account and community and supported by the qurator account, thank you everyone for your hard and continuous efforts to build and grow this great community!

You are the second person today that wrote about real friends and cutting ties...
Different circumstances, but the same result.

Great set of images!

The feeling was like shaking a tree... Only the good fruits are left on it... Everything redundant falls off.
We, the people, are so shortsighted... :) Also, we like to repeat mistakes. That's beautiful in some cases though :D

Thank you!

Relationships between people tend to change rapidly nowadays. Life separated me from many people, from almost everyone in fact 🤔. Time and crises have indeed provided a great sieve. But for me, this sieve happened even before the crises. Anyway, there are still a few people left in my life that I know I can count on, even after we no longer hear from each other regularly.
On the other hand, I think this issue is really very pressing right now and has a very big and deep meaning for people, but I kind of avoid it and don't want to think about it (it's painful).😌
Pictures are great! And the background is awesome!
Btw, with time and the years, people really find new friends in hobby clubs, and these are friendships that can replace previous ones that have already run out.
