Not so, it is currently 13 weeks.

if I remember correctly, the original Steem period for powering down was six months. The reasoning was to have only those with diamond commitment to actually have control over monetary policy. Then it was reduced to three months to let those with wooden hands in. Then it was reduced to thirteen weeks. Now people want to reduce it even further. The Terra/Luna network has argued for longer powerdown times for those who vote on monetary policy better than @dan ever could.

Well 13 weeks is rougly 3 months, so I think you are confused, I have been around since 2016 and I think you are right it was 6 months back then, but I am not sure if I remember correctly.

I can tell you that I almost only use LasseCash and we have 26 weeks (roughly 6 months powerdown) to incentivize longterm mentality.

I sold most of my Hive, only left some Hive Power to have enough for RC for posting and stuff, but where its happening for me is LasseCash, I dont care if they change the powerdown time of Hive, because those whales never rewarded me for good content for 6 years and they dont understand anarcho capitalism and flat earth, so they are not worth my time.

Show me someone in charge of a boat or plane who navigates large distances with a flat Earth model, and I'll show you a lost plane or boat. That aside, you're definitely right. Three months is indeed 13 weeks. I am not sure where my head was at when I said that.

That must have been in the first months or so? Because I came on Steem it before, Daniel and Ned was interview in a video by Tatiana Moroz, explaining to the world what they have made, and I dont think there was 2 years power down period when I entered...

but a lot of shady stuff happened back then, there was also the high inflation and ninja mine...

And where are Dan and Ned, now??? gone just like most of the people that profitted at the launch... very shady behaviour...

and now Hive is ran by BALLHEADs that cannot even show their identity or face... aggressive people doing a lot of deception...

So glad LasseCash came to the rescue

to create a free society in the world we need people to act in their true identity, people that hide themselves behind an annonynous name are worthless at best, but in most cases extremely harmless to the free world society.

Stefan Molyneux was the philosopher that convinced me that people need to act with their true identity to create a true free world society. One of his greater accomplishments.

He also tough a lot of people about anarchocapitalism, unfortunately he failed to learn that the earth is flat and he is mostly gone now from the internet because of he became more statist by action then anarchocapitalist.

You themarkymark is just pure human trash, who contribute with nothing in your life ever and when you are dead no one will miss you, since you never did any good for the whole human race.

Understand? And then leave me the hell alone!
