Father’s Day : A king in his kingdom but a Commoner outside his Kingdom

A young man went to meet his father for his monthly allowance so he went to the father’s office. The father’s secretary asked him to stay in the reception because the father was busy. The father was in a rush as he was standing to leave but being his son he had to attend to his son’s needs. Being an African meticulous father, he always give out money after scrutinizing and justifying why you needed that money he is giving you. While he was doing that, the door opened and the son heard a loud voice. It was his father’s boss and the conversation went as followed
The Boss: Mr Morgan you must be a foolish man

The Dad: Yes sir

The Boss: How dare you keep me waiting for so long are you insane?

The Dad: I’m very sorry sir

The Boss: You better get to my office before I get there.

This man kept on ranting insults on the dad while sounding like an illiterate because through his diction you can tell that he probably got to that place of office through nepotism or corruption.

Without looking at his son, he told his son “son wait for me at home”.

This young man was traumatized because he has never seen his father that vulnerable before, he has always seen his father as the Alpha male , King and Supreme leader of his household. That experience broke him but later in life he got to understand that in life, The King must have to submit outside his kingdom to bring bread to the table.

A man is totally a king only in his home but the moment he steps out of this house in search of daily bread, he is seen as a normal commoner. He is insulted, he begs and weeps, kneels and submit to lesser man sometimes because they are in form of employers, superior, clients and customers.

A father takes this internally with pride even when humiliated and humbled because he knows that this is the only guaranteed way to get bread for his family.

He knows that submission is the SURVIVOR'S APPARATUS.

When labour is over, he picks himself up adorning his Kingly Robes and returns to his Kingdom.

It is the duty of the people in his kingdom to remind him that he is in kingdom where he reigns as the Father, Husband and King when he returns from his daily search for bread.
