The lowest point, altitude-wise, in Zimbabwe is the junction/confluence of the rivers🌊 Runde and Save in Zimbabwe's South-eastern lowveld in Masvingo province.
The area lies on the fringes of Gonarezhou National Park🏞 bordering Mahenye (Mahenya) Village🛖 and is also very close to the southernmost tip of the border between Masvingo Province and Manicaland Province. The confluence of the two rivers🌊 forms an ecologically important wetland🌱 supporting a plethora of animal species including Elephants🐘 and waterbucks🦌. Beyond this point, the now single river continues on its merry way into Mozambique🇲🇿 as the Save/Sabi or Rio Save before dumping its load into the Indian Ocean🌊.
