Stilt fishing ( Ritipanna)

Good morning everyone !
Stilt fishing is one of Sri Lanka's most fascinating traditional fishing methods. It was founded shortly after World War II, according to records. Until the tsunami in 2004, when such operations were temporarily halted until recent years, this style of fishing was more extensively employed all along the coast. Fishermen sitting on branching poles, deftly fishing at dawn, noon, and twilight, may now be seen often along the southern shore in places like as Koggala, Kaththaluwa, and Ahangama. The waters of the Madu River, for example, are occasionally visited by stilt fishermen.
