Philosopher of the month – Henri Bergson – bringing timeless insights into our quest for truth

When dealing in consciousness and abstract philosophical perceptions of reality, we are talking about something that is within all humanity throughout history. It’s not confined to one place or time or culture. Consciousness and insight is inherent within all of us, to varying degrees perhaps, but the potential to have moments of awareness or insight is natural. So it’s refreshing to come across a modern western philosopher who had the same realizations as the ancient philosophers of the east, despite the millennia and miles that separate them.

One such memorable western thinker is Henri Bergson, a French philosopher born in 1859, who lived to see the Nazi invasion of his country before his death in 1941. Essentially he is known for his metaphysical realizations, where he suggests that immediate experience and intuition are more important than science or abstract rationalism, when it comes to understanding reality (according to his Wikipedia page).

One of his most famous quotes states:

“Fortunately, some are born with spiritual immune systems that sooner or later give rejection to the illusory world view grafted upon them from birth through social conditioning. They begin sensing that something is amiss, and start looking for answers. Inner knowledge and anomalous outer experiences show them a side of reality others are oblivious to, and so begins their journey of awakening. Each step of the journey is made by following the heart instead of following the crowd and by choosing knowledge over the veils of ignorance.”

This concurs with the wisdom of the ancient Sanskrit Vedas of India, where it tells us that we all have within us the inner guide or higher self, known in Sanskrit as “paramatma”. Those who are introspective and tuned in to the voice of the higher self will observe the actions of modern society and notice something seems wrong. And as a result they may look elsewhere for a perspective of reality that makes more sense.

It’s fascinating to notice that these words were spoken by Bergson almost 100 years ago, and yet they perfectly reflect our current condition on the planet today in our post-lockdown world. In other words, he is touching on a timeless truth that applies to all humanity for all time. The same sentiment has been taught in the ancient Vedas of India thousands of years ago, and this is what makes Bergson’s insight so meaningful.

When we observe the impositions placed upon us by our political leaders today, as he might have in WW2 during the Nazi invasion, we can notice a common thread. Anyone who is attuned to their inner guidance will perceive the social construct that is being imposed upon us as highly out of order. It becomes obvious to anyone who has done some research into the situation today, that the elite appear to be imposing an agenda upon society based not upon our well being but upon their somewhat macabre social engineering experiment, based upon less than truthful motivations or rationale.

As Bergson so astutely says in his quote above, those who are in touch with their inner guidance can see the modern paradigm as based on illusory concepts, whether economic, pandemic or societal. All three of these narratives provided for us as truthful by the political leaders of the day, are totally out of synch with a normal healthy, consciousness-driven human existence. They are based upon lies and ulterior motives.

With this inner realization, based on the research of facts, as well as insight into morality and ethics, or healthy civilized behavior, one can only go against the herd mentality of those corralled by the shepherds and look within to find a proper moral compass to guide our path. When one realizes that we have been indoctrinated into a massive illusion and blatant lie, since our birth, by the elite who are motivated by a selfish agenda, and that this has played out more so than ever before under today’s pandemic scam, then we can conclude that the best thing to do is walk away.

The person driven by their inner soul guidance or intuition, as well as by morality and also scientific facts (as far as a pandemic is concerned), will conclude exactly like Bergson, whose conclusion is much like that of the ancient Vedic Sanskrit texts of ancient India. We are being lied to by ignorant politicians and academics today, and we must turn away from the lie or illusion created by them, and find our truth within, substantiated by philosophers with whom we resonate, and who echo the intuition we have coming from within.

I can go into the details in other posts regarding the lie of this current pandemic, as well as the crime of our current capitalist economic system, as well as the lie regarding our true natures in this human body being imposed upon us by propagandists who wish for us to remain consumers and slaves to their system, dumbed down regarding our real identity by the bodily concept of life. Those practical details are plain to see for any researcher who is also open to their intuition. It’s up to you whom you wish to follow. I personally have seen through some of the illusion and concur with Bergson who, in this one quote above, has summed up the entire nature of our reality in the world for all time.
