Preserving the identity and privacy of the photographed is one of my challenges when I'm shooting in the streets.

Here in Brazil there are very strict laws regarding the disclosure of images or photographs unauthorized of people, especially children. Punishments ranging from fines to imprisonment.

Therefore, I am very careful when I am in the streets of Recife, photographing people and the urban environment. I prefer not to photograph people directly, where their faces or identity appear.

I prefer to photograph people from the back, details of arms, legs, shadows. This was a technique that I learned over the years in street photography and that I apply in my work.

There is a certain difficulty and limitation of the photographer's creativity with these laws, but I believe that photography is this, the challenge of creativity and the more challenged the photographer, the more evolution there is in his "photographic" vision.

A Good Day for Everyone!
