Scientific study, An increase in soluble fiber consumption burns more fat




In general terms, fiber is divided into two broad categories: soluble fiber and insoluble fiber. The type of soluble fiber mixes with water to form a slightly viscous substance as if it were a gel and this helps to slow down the passage of fiber. digested food from our stomach to the intestines and with this it can help us reduce our visceral fat by reducing our appetite.


In addition to the above, when soluble fiber reaches our colon, intestinal bacteria ferment it and convert it into short-chain fatty acids, which are a very important source of nutrition for the cells of our colon and increasing the consumption of soluble fiber can be very simple.


The main sources of insoluble fiber are chia seeds, flax seeds, sweet potatoes, legumes and whole grains, especially oats, which you know are one of my favorite foods.
