Perseverance Is the Key to Success

I have over a period of time came to the conclusion that to succeed at blogging on the blockchain, it takes grit, dedication and perseverance, it sometimes feels like pushing a heavy rock up a steep hill, but knowing you will eventually get that rock to the top of that hill makes every push forward so much more rewarding.

Engage

I know many have struggled with this during the current down trend and I have slacked myself these past few days when it comes to posting articles but it had nothing to do with the low prices of tokens, I have been quite busy with family engagements since the lockdowns have partially eased in my area and I have made sure that I had a little time at least twice each day to comment on posts and engage with community members.

No Better Time Than Now to Maximise Growth

I see this time as being probably the best time to become even more active as the payoff for my work will surely benefit my personal brand in the long term as I strive to achieve my goals and build value through my posting, commenting, engagement and curation.

At the start of the month June 1st I set goals to achieve before the July 1st deadline date and I am happy to say I have already reached those goals, I will however be setting new goals for the month of July which I will discuss in a later post as I will be in a better position nearing July 1st to weigh up how well I done this month by surpassing my goals during the month of June before drawing up my new goals for July.

Plan Ahead

I found that setting realistic and achievable goals has been a big part of my minnow success to date and has given me the motivation to ensure that I will succeed as long as I stick to my plan.

I want to ensure that the time, effort, dedication and perseverance I give now pays off over the long term to allow me to build a solid foundation and personal online brand, something I can look back on in the years to come and be proud of what I have achieved.

This is something we can all do and yes sometimes it requires adjusting your thinking to a long term perspective, as with any business or personal brand it takes time to build trust in a name or brand that is consistant and trustworthy, something that people recognise and can relate too, this cannot be achieved unless we are prepared to roll up our sleeves and dig in during the low periods as well as the high ones.

Never Give Up

You will be surprized how much knowledge and experience there is to be gained from those around us in the community from the great articles posted and the friendships you will make , but most importantly never give up and encourage those around you to find their own motivating factors, things that inspire them on their own path to success.

Conclusion

My conclusion is, you get out, what you put in and even when you find it difficult to post, make sure to comment, engage and curate as much as possible these are the traits that will earn you success over time.

Set yourself some realistic goals to comment, engage and curate a set amount of posts on each platform you use and aim to improve on these daily, weekly or even monthly, read statistical articles about engagement and staking for motivation and follow the authors so you can read their updated posts on a regular basis and weigh up your progress as you move forward.

Believe me this will be the best thing you can do if you want to improve your personal or business brand growth on the blockchain, your future self will be so grateful that you did.

Nothing ever worth having ever came easy, but success is available on the blckchain if you are willing to put in the work, if not you will forever regret not doing so.

There is no better time than now to go all in with your chips and make them count towards that which you want to build, commit to the task at hand and present yourself accordingly and in time you will succeed, just don't expect it to happen over night.

You Can Reach The Summit

Think long term success, forget about getting rich quick, that very rarely happens unless you are extremely lucky, envision yourself reaching the top of that summit at some point in the future while carefully climbing one step at a time and staying focused on your journey ahead, before too long you will be looking back in awe at a sight to behold.

If you enjoyed the read give it an upvote and reblog and begin your journey's first steps right now.

You are so right! Many people come to blogging, especially on Hive, when the price is up. They see what others can make on their blog posts and hope/expect to make that right away. When they don't see the upvotes immediately, they give up.

It's not just blogging, though. It's any endeavor that involves gaining the attention of others. Many people give up on musical careers too early because they didn't become rock stars. Or artists give up because they can't sell their work yet. What many people don't see behind the scenes is how most people who ever become successful cut their teeth for years and years. Decades, sometimes. What they all have in common is that they didn't give up.

Congratulations on meeting your June goal! Setting goals is important. Achieving them is too! Good luck with your July goal.

Without persisting, you can't get as far as you can.

As the post title says, persistence really is a key to success (but it's not the only one).

Oh without a doubt, you need hard work and dedication, good judgement for choosing articles and so much more.

But perseverance is the key, the rest you can pick up or learn over time, appreciate the engagement and thanks for dropping in.

That's the mindset I've had for 4 years. Back then, it was the best time to go all in, too. So I did. I'm still down on my investment (after 4 years, that's almost unheard of in crypto), and I have sacrificed my privacy, and given up several hours of EVERY day (365 per year) to persevere and succeed. But every month I'm further and further away from breaking even. I believe HIVE is an inflationary token, not a good investment. I believe it will continue to fall in price, even through crypto bull markets, because it is designed to. Anyone holding it will be burned. Sadly, I have no way to convert or trade or spend mine, so I've got 15000 of them headed for zero. I should never have touched this blockchain with a 10 foot pole.

I know it can be very hard and at times it seems not worthwhile and I not very invested in hive itself apart from hive power but I do believe it is inflationary, thats kind of what drew me to #pob the fact it was like bitcoin with 21 million total supply and a halving every 4 years.

But if your posting, engaging and curating and still down on your investment somethings just not right, I would take a look in hive-engine and maybe trade some hive for other tokens that you can see value in, pob has great value even though its down to roughly 0.20 USD value at the moment since the bear kicked down the front door this past month. Lol.

After 4 years you should have had a nice little egg of growing tokens, have you checked the hive engine, you might have some tokens you didnt even know about.

I make sure that I can see a little value in everything I do whether it be posting, engaging or curating and it should get easier over time not harder.

Some people also trade their hive for leo on leodex and put them in cub finance to farm some more cub, I havent got around to that just yet but there are some great articles on leofinance about that.

Dont lose hope in your coins, instead use them to earn through staking them or transfer them to a crypto you will use or some to fiat and buy a little treat for yourself.

Learning how to do all these things is what keeps me motivated, but I wouldnt call it a day during the bear season, Id rather double down an get dug in.

But at the end of the day nobody should tell anybody what they should do with there tokens.

Is there a reason why you havent converted, withdrawn or traded tokens yet, maybe doing a little deep dive will get you back in the game, its hard to say what you should be doing as I dont fully understand your situation, I can only make suggestions from my perspective.

But there is always a way as long as you have your master password and keys if you need help finding out how best to stake, trade, convert or withdraw just let me know and I will look for some useful links that might be helpful

Hey, some good advice, and good questions. If you like video format and have half an hour sometime, I summarized my 10 year crypto journey here:

But I realize nobody has 30 minutes for that kind of thing. In short, I've been advocating crypto since before most people heard of it, and I'm the most successful long term price forecaster, but I myself do not invest (buy and sell things to profit from price changes). I believe in savings (real money like PMs), and of course we need currency in modern life, so that's why I was interested in crypto. But crypto hasn't become the privacy and decentralization gamechanger it was supposed to. Long ago I took a stance against wifi and smart devices, and have never used them. Sadly, crypto has moved almost exclusively to smart devices and it's becoming harder and harder to use on an actual computer.

As for this blockchain, all Steem, SBD, HBD, and tokens on steemengine and hiveengine have been converted to Hive Power, to boost myself and the platform. For years that has been the strategy encouraged by the community... and it's the same strategy your post is encouraging. But like I said above, the best strategy was actually the opposite. Never power up, never hold anything on this blockchain (not even the tokens, which are derivatives of Hive). By design it's all going to zero, so holding it is suicidal. I'm not an investor, but that doesn't mean I want my savings to disappear to nothing! I prefer holding things that will retain their purchasing power whenever possible. Hive doesn't fit the bill! But like I said, I have very few options without a smart device or bank account. I keep waiting for crypto to develop, and be private and decentralized, but it's not happening. Instead, the focus is on investing - making profits off each other while enriching the banks and exchanges. It's ridiculous.

Sorry to be a downer, but that's how I see it. If I'm wrong on anything please let me know!

You've got the right attitude! Even with little to no stake in the chain you can still grow organically if you put in the effort. That said there's no magic formula for posts, some of my well written stuff flops while the short and fun content will do well, you just never know. Thanks for stopping by my blog to comment and interact! That's part of what makes this space great.

Thank you thats very much appreciated, sometimes we can research a great topic and it might flop and other times a short post will trend and for some that might be difficult to understand but we must not let that deter us.

Thanks for engaging, thats what it is really all about making new friends and crypto acquaintances.

Happy to drop by and return the favour, thats how we get familiar with others and make the community stronger THUMBS UP..
