Straight from the moon

I propose to restore the drawbridge and the moat from before 1895, before the embankments were dismantled and the moat was filled in.

It is true that it would then be almost like in Malbork...?

You can see the moat and the bridge that used to lead to the 16th-century gate, which was rebuilt in later years, as it is often the case, to min. keep up with architectural trends.
When decorating the object in 1588. the famous builder and sculptor Van den Blocke took part.

On the walls you can find Latin phrases praising timeless values: service to the Republic of Poland, justice, piety, peace, freedom and consent.

Interesting fact: during the renovation, the 16th-century casemates were discovered connecting the gate with the combat posts on the western pre-rampart.

I think I'll buy a lift pass for the tower in St. Mary's Church. I've been here every week lately. Amazing place...

This time it was supposed to be just a walk around the city with my loved ones, but I dragged everyone to the tower. It was not there yet, this time I got the tower in shoes with a large heel, but with a stable non-slip sole.

As we walked down the winding stairs, we listened softly to Garou's song from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The scenery of the gothic church, the bell that we pass along the way, soaring towers and brick walls are associated with the history of the bell-ringer. I really like the amazing view of the dome and vaults from above, as if taken straight from the moon. On the undulating surface of the vaults glisten coins thrown by tourists fortunately to come back here again....
