Community Project (5-Minute Freewrite Challenge)
Good day freewriters! Here's my freewrite entry for the prompt "community project". The 5-Minute Freewrite Challenge which was initiated by @mariannewest. Everyone are free to participate in this challenge by checking the profile of @mariannewest, as well as @freewritehouse.
Kathy received a call from her husband that he'll be going home soon. She's so much in excitement that she'll get to be with her husband again after years they're unable to see each other. Chris, her husband, left years ago when he was assigned to a country where there's a battle. Yes, he is a soldier.
The day came for his arrival, and Kathy prepared a party with some of their friends and relatives. When Chris got home, Kathy gave him a welcoming hug. They're finally reunited, and Chris will stay longer with his wife this time after given a long vacation.
At night, Kathy played a music in their vinyl record player, then invited Chris for a dance as they used to. Chris went to bed after that after being tired from his trip. The first few days of his vacation seemed fine, but as days go by, somethings changing on his behavior.
He's even having dreams of being at the battlefield, and screams as he was awakened. Kathy endured the behavior of Chris knowing he has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) being at war for years. She's a psychologist, works on a community project for mentally disturbed people, and she knows how to deal with such behavior.
