It's an evening at my wife's family and it's game night. Not the Superbowl, but board game night!

That looks like a seriously old version of this game.
In The US, in stores, i usually see the name as "Settlers of Catan"

Further, the hexagons in the versions i have handled have the number and type printed on them. Not a separate pog. And we would take turns placing a hexagon to build the map.

Do you have the extended version with cities and trade-routes (little ships instead of roads that go on sea hexagons)

We also have that game in our stores in Hungarian. Its name is "Catan telepesei". Probably a few (or many) other countries have their own versions.

I have not tried it so far, but the description says that the playtime is 45-60 minutes, so it is almost like watching a regular movie, and it is indeed good for an evening game.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

If you have the chance to play, it's a lot of fun. Nice mix of strategy and chance.

Yes, this is "Settlers of Catan". It's an older version, probably pretty rare these days.

Do you have the extended version

We have a few extended versions, one is "Explorers and Pirates", although we just played regular Catan.
