After Sabbath is one day (like an island) before the Holy Day of Atonement (Yom Kipperim). Because this is such a Holy Day for Jews, it seems unbecoming for a Christian to pay any attention to this day - but putting religion aside, it doesn't change what the Most High God and his multitude of angels are doing in the Heavens on this momentous occasion.

This is the day that we do no work (I'll be offline) and we afflict our souls (that is fasting) and read scriptures and confess our sins one to another and we are made clean (atoned or "covered") for another year. It's the day that our debts are covered and the fate of the next 12 months is determined.

What? A Christian Observing a Jewish Holiday?

As a believer in Messiah Yeshua, why would I be concerned with a "day of atonement"? While Passover is a remembrance of our personal salvation at Messiah's first coming, Atonement is a remembrance and acknowledgment or His second coming and His dealings with the LAND and the PEOPLE of greater Israel, the Israel of God, or Spiritual Israel.

It is because this is the day that the land and people of Israel are covered - and as a "saved" person, me and my family fit into the category of "thus all Israel shall be saved". We are not "Israel", but we are a part of "all Israel", the "Israel of God" or "Spiritual Israel". Grafted in, so-to-speak.

This isn't about the Nation State of Israel and all the political baggage - this is strictly between God and His People, whatever their nationality. Whatever their heritage. This is about faith. There are many faithful in the Nation State of Israel, but there are many depraved also - just like many other nations. Still, God views His people in a very unique and special way, no matter their depravity or their righteousness.

This is about the inheritance that we have in Messiah Yeshua. This is about His Return! The day is coming when the veil is about to be lifted, both for "Jews" and "Christians" and even "Muslims" - all the house of Abraham, no matter doctrinal fidelity or error, or the love or hatred there is between brothers, no matter the confession. What matters is the judgement of the King. Are you WITH HIM or AGAINST HIM? His WAGES are with Him and He will apportion them out as is fit. Is our kingdom of this world, or of the world to come?

This is the grand finale.

Day of Trumpets - Yeshua returns with a massive army of saints, we sound the trumpet and make a loud noise! A VERY LOUD NOISE! Resurrected saints rising up everywhere, it would be a supernatural event on the scale beyond our imagination.

The 10 days of "AWE" - some mysterious unknown event involving the army, the REAL 10 day war, probably very bloody and shocking. A real fear of God event. Armageddon - the real thing, not the movie.

Day of Atonement - The final conclusion and covering for the people of the Israel of God. Fasting, lamenting, affliction, if ever there were sack-cloth and ashes, this would be it. Weeping, gnashing of teeth, beating the chest, ripping clothing. Not for show, but because of the realization and reality of circumstances presented.

Sukkot (Tabernacles) - MASSIVE PARTY! This is the atonement for the nations! We are commanded to have wine and strong drink (what religion would allow that?) Giving gifts to one another, eating SWEET THINGS and FATTY THINGS - this truly is a celebration and party. We live in tents (temporary dwelling places) for seven days, before the 8th day when the climax of climax arrives. Someday, this will be a PARTY OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS! Maybe this year!

Sukkot is our "pilgrimage" down south, although it's not a true pilgrimage. It's practice for the day (someday) when we travel to the place where God puts His Name three times a year, including Sukkot. Will it be Jerusalem as in times past? Will it be somewhere else? That part of the story isn't completely known yet, though it has already been written in Heaven.

A Sequel to the Gospels

When Messiah returns, everyone on earth gets to play a role in the events - either on the side of the "System" or on the side of the Creator. We're talking the real new world order, not set up by a bunch of elite psychopaths, but by a conquering and righteous King. But not just any King - the KING OF KINGS. The government shall be on His shoulders, He will sit on the throne of David, He will gain the inheritance stored up for Him by His Father as the BELOVED SON.

Some are not comfortable with this idea, but guaranteed, it's better than the lucifarian NWO being set up right now. The stage is being set - the armies are gathering together. The entire world is in the balance, the final showdown between good and evil is approaching! We know the King is merciful, we know HE is just. We know He is mighty and worthy and commands LEGIONS of angels by the word of His mouth.

Kiss the son, lest He be angry.

The Kingdom of Heaven is near, even at the door. Tomorrow night begins Yom Kippurim, the final day of the ten days of awe. The tenth day of the seventh month, the most Holy day of the entire year. This most Holy day has not even been fulfilled yet - the world-changing events are yet to happen. Will it be this year? The demons are trembling, the unclean spirits are lurking in hiding, the enemies of God are nervous... maybe this will be the year judgment comes upon them. Maybe it's another year of pretend death and gore, celebrating that "all saints" are still dust and skeletons.

Until that glorious day arrives.... BLESS THE MOST HIGH and the SON AT HIS RIGHT HAND! Blessed is HE who comes in the name of the LORD!
