Is is the seventh day already? If only time would slow down during these special days!

This is the seventh day of the festival - the rain stopped, everything dried out, the sun is out, but the warm weather is over. We enjoy some time in the morning getting a camp fire going.

We have a special snack - our fish we caught earlier in the week. It was my first time "cleaning" fish and it was fun grilling them on the gas stove. There wasn't much, but what we did have was well enjoyed.

It's amazing what a little salt, pepper and butter can do.

Many campers took this day to go into town for supplies before Sabbath. The campsite was very quiet. While dad and mom got things ready, the boys spent some time in the bus. A surprisingly comfortable place for a nap.

One luxury we usually do not have while celebrating this holiday off-grid, is a good sink for washing dishes. We bring our dishes up to the laundry room and get them clean in a jiffy.

After cleaning up camp, I took a quick walk next door to the vineyard and winery.

They had converted an old school house into a winery. They were very gracious by offering small samples of their products.

I was so impressed with this port, that I purchased a bottle. If only they accepted HBD! There was a couple there sampling a cider called "the tipsy granny" since it was made from Granny Smith apples. I requested a sample and was not disappointed.

The cider was very tart, but the honey and cinnamon/sugar rim made it much sweeter. I was impressed with all the nice foam on the top!

Before I left, I made sure to ring the big school bell. It made a very loud clanging noise, I wonder if they heard it back at camp?

As Sabbath approached, we gathered together in the big tent. There were shofars blowing, singing and joy! It was a Sabbath full of Shalom and the children rejoiced with us!

At dark begins the "Last Great Day" of the festival, although many were accounting that day on Sunday. Either way, we enjoyed Sabbath together as His people entered into His rest together. This was Friday, October 6th, the day before the surprise attack in Southern Israel on the Last Great Day (8th day) of the Festival.
