We're off to a great start for the week. This is a recap of the "Feast of Tabernacles" celebration from two weeks ago. The first day of October, Sunday morning, we woke up to a beautiful warm day, unseasonably warm for October.

Our neighbor was making a lot of beef bacon and offering it to his fellow campers. Some happy and hungry Turners gratefully partook.

Other neighbors came by and offered us some apples from their tree. They smelled and looked amazing!

One of the projects for the day was to come up with designs for the seven days of creation.

Many people were setting up their Sukkot, with goodly branches, joy and singing.

In the afternoon, we worshiped and there was another teaching. Mamma was giving our littlest one some attention right about nap time.

The days of creation were displayed in the big tent and a design was selected to paint onto a train car. This was day one.

In the evening, a dozen or so people gathered to set up the main Sukkah. It was huge, with a fire pit in the middle!

The children wanted to learn how to make tzitzi (fringes) and there were instructions in the main tent on how to make them.

By evening, the main Sukah was finished.

It was a fantastic day of camping and fellowship - a day of joy and feasting and celebrating!
