We Are Alive! November 18th, 2023 A Restful Day and Movie
Today was an easy day: we got up without any rush and enjoyed taking our time getting ready. We haven't been meeting with our Sabbath group for a number of weeks for various reasons, but today we gathered together for some good conversation.
We talked about a subject I wrote about six years ago here on the blockchain. We discussed what it means to be "the salt of the earth".
After returning home and having diner, we had a special movie night and watched "Wall-E" from Pixar. The children enjoyed it, but say they like Toy Story better.
Today seemed to pass by very quickly and even now, even though we rested and it's only about 8:00 PM, I'm about ready for bed already!
We are alive and well rested for a new week! I hope you are also ready for a new week.

Children continue to do mischief in the same way and the house is prosperous because of them.
Glad to hear you had a great day with the family! Recently, my fiance and I have been watching a TV show called 'The Chosen' that depicts Jesus and his followers as he first starts his ministry, and gathering his disciples together.
It's a very good show, and is available through an app on IOS and Android, either Angel Studios or The Chosen, both of which have the show, but I have Angel Studios app, which has other movies and shows on there as well!
Anyways, in a recent episode we were watching, Jesus is preparing his sermon where he talks about being the 'Salt of the Earth's and what it is supposed to mean! It was truly an amazing point of the episode, and he explains that salting meat prevents corruption, and delays how long it will take to spoil; and how salting a dish provides flavor! While too much can be a bad thing, yes, it was a unique and captivating way to describe that expression!
It's truly inspiring to think of it in that way, that Jesus calls his followers to prevent moral corruption, and to show the world his glory!
