We Are Alive! May 2nd, 2023 Unexpected
Today was full of the unexpected! I got up earlier than usual and had coffee with my wife, since we had a gift card for Panera bread. The gift card didn't work, which was unexpected, but we brought home bagels for all the children anyway.
Then I was alerted about an opportunity to purchase Bed Bath and Beyond gift cards for 50% off, because they are going out of business. So in the afternoon, we visited BB&B and was able to purchase a new pan!
These are normally very expensive, but with the instore clearance price, and gift cards, we were able to get it at a phenomenal (and affordable) price. The trip was unplanned and unexpected. It did disrupt the day somewhat, but this is a piece of equipment that will be used for many many cooking projects.
We also stopped at a thrift store to donate a bunch of books and cloths, but they were not accepting donations right then. Hmmm, that was unexpected!
We did find some children's cloths that we brought home and a Lego set that was an unexpected surprise for the children.
All in all, there was a lot of unexpected events today and we were able to acquire some useful and fun items within our budget! It really pays to be responsible with money, being frugal and opportunistic. It allows us to be more generous when giving opportunities come up.
Bless the Most High!
Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin
We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.
No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13
Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny
Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations.
Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books. I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.
