Today is "Mothers' Day" in the US and because of the memorial, my sister was in town from Florida. This made for a perfect mother's day brunch. We all enjoyed a late lunch of egg casserole and bagels with cream cheese.

Afterwards, I got the lawns mowed - by that I mean my front and back yard and my parent's front and back yard. They're fairly small, so it only takes an hour or so. With the weather so nice, pop on a podcast and get mowing.

It's always so satisfying seeing a freshly mowed lawn. Meanwhile, my very pregnant wife is in the garden, getting things ready.

The backyard is getting smaller and smaller, as our garden gets bigger and bigger. :-)

Pulled a lot of overgrown ivy, bunch of thistles and dandelions, and other weeds. Little by little, day by day we're getting our garden and landscaping back to where it should be for the summer.
