We Are Alive June 2nd, 2023 Hot!

Today is our first very hot day. The sun was shining extra hot, it's a toasty 90 degrees (32 C) and I can feel the sweat beading on my forehead.

Lauren is making English Muffins, she begins with a very large batch of dough, then makes as many muffins as we can, usually two dozen or so.

One way that are family can afford to feed 6 children and two adults is by making our own food! Purchasing two dozen English Muffins from the grocery store could be between $8 - $12. But when we make it, it costs us time and ingredients. Easily under $4.00 for the whole batch.

Another way we can afford our family is by finding outrageous deals on groceries and treats. The treat I found today was a box of chocolates for $1. But not just any Chocolates. Premium chocolates. These normally sell for close to $10.

Being resourceful and frugal can be fun and challenging, but it's important to remember that a penny earned is a penny earned.

Stretching pennies is good, but collecting extra pennies is even better.

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations.

Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books. I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.

Bank Bailout Special!

It's happening, folks. The banks are going under! To educate our children about what is going on, there is a "Bank Bailout Book Bonanza" going on with the Tuttle Twins! Use coupon code FORTY for 40% off your purchase! Check out the books here.

"Politicians like problems because they can claim to have solutions... but their solutions often create even more problems."

The rain helped us here, at least we are having cool days now.

That's a big dough but it's awesome, it can be fun making that.
The sweetest part it saving some money.

Hope you found some relief from the hot weather there. Some good lessons here on learning to save by prepping your own goodies :) when I have more than enough energy, I do the same. Otherwise, I've learned to outsource :D enjoy your weekend with family and loved ones!

Belgian sweets for $1 are great! Candy and cupcakes gave you $20 savings, that $20 turns into $200 and $2,000 over years of investment.

I didn't show the inside of the box: there's only 9 little chocolates inside. Still, not bad for the price! Fancy chocolates for $1 each is still a better price than most fancy chocolate stores offer, enjoying for $0.11 each is outrageous. We've been cutting them in half and enjoying them very carefully.

I based my observation on the weight on the package...108gram... that's really cheap compared to the prices in Belgium.
Anyway, enjoy them! 👍

32°C is really hot, no wonder you are sweating Benjamin, well done staying indoors and doing some baking instead, and saving money not buying them from the store too, enjoy your weekend and stay !ALIVE

I also love to find good deals! The chocolate for $1 is pretty amazing! I'd definitely have bought some! I make something called English Muffin Toasting Bread. It's tasty and gives each kid 2 slices out of the loaf. I typically spend Sunday afternoon getting a few loaves made for the week.
