Today there was a neighborhood-wide garage sale. While we put a few things out that we would like to sell, what really drew people in were the cookies! My oldest put the word out at other garage sales, that our house was selling COOKIES!

These weren't just normal cookies, but home made, whole WHEAT cookies with chocolate chips. They're big, they're gooey and delicious. They were a BIG hit.

The Three Sisters Bakery! Although mom baked the cookies, much of the selling was done by the girls. And they did pretty well!

Several people bought the whole half-dozen at a time and offered the children $6 for them. Amazing! I would value them at a few dollars each, and I'm glad others did too. Overall, the children managed to make $19 from their cookie sale.

Special Purchase: A Car

My youngest son really likes cars. When he dicovered that there are little cars just his size, he really wanted one. While the children walked around the neighborhood, they spotted a pink and blue car that is just his size.

They came back and asked for a few dollars and purchased a car for him.

He didn't care that it was pink and blue, he thought it was GREAT! It has a gas tank on the side, it's powered by his feet and even has a horn that honks!

The sisters are happy for him too, they knew this was exactly what he was hoping for.
