We Are Alive! July 9th, 2023 Outdoor Market and Apple Tree
We made a quick run to the store for some potatoes and we discovered they had their fruit outside, almost like an outdoor fruit market!
All these beautiful apples, we hope we'll have lots of our own apples from our tree.
They're still green, but as they ripen they should turn a nice yellow color. We have to do what we can now to ensure they don't drop before they're ripe!
Coming home and looking at my own tree full of fruit is a very good feeling.
It's important not to count your apples before they ripen, since we haven't harvested them yet.
I remember looking at my cherries while they were green imagining the massive harvest, but we only got a small percentage of them.
We'll have to act wisely to collect as many of these beautiful apples once they become ripe.

This is wonderful! If we get fruit this year, it will be a first. We have never gotten a single apple from this tree, let alone all these. I hope they taste good!

We had a tangerine and 2 apricot trees on our old plot, plus about half a dozen chicken! Good times, if we could beat the birds to the apricots!
Here we have to beat the squirrels, they like to knock them off the tree before they're ripe and take one bite out of them.

There are many fruits that are regional only, apples grow well here.
