Our third day of camping started out with thunderstorms. We got up and had breakfast and watched the clouds get thicker and thicker... then crack boom.

We relaxed in the tent on our camp chairs. Lauren drank her tea and I enjoyed my coffee.

Once the rain stopped, we decided to go for a walk on the trail. The children rode their bikes and daddy pushed the stroller.

It was a little difficult pushing the stroller on the sandy path, but once we got to gravel it wasn't so bad. Still better than carrying the little ones!

On the trail we found these strange things on the ground that looked like squids. The top was soft, squishy and hollow and the "legs" were rubbery. We wondered if it were a fungus or something dropped from a tree.

They didn't move, otherwise there would be no way we'd pick these strange things up off the ground! Eeesh!

The trail was beautiful, following a ravine with a creek at the bottom.

We followed the trail up one side of the creek until we came to a bridge and crossed over to the other side.

At the end of the trail, we see (you guessed it) the big lake!

Moses found a puddle that is a perfect size for him.

We found the place where the creek came out of the woods and into the lake!

The creek is so small we could stop it's flow with some sticks and sand. We watched the water collect before breaking our dam and watching the water flow into the lake.

We built a sandcastle, which turned out great!
