We Are Alive! August 18th, 2023 Farmer's Market
Visiting the farmer's market.
It's our first time this summer. Previous years, we visited the farmer's market weekly during the summer months, but we got out of the habit. We've been looking for a good source of veggies, but with only two farmer stands, the selection is limited.
It's still a fun experience. If we come late in the day, people are usually gathering for the outdoor concert.
We picked up tomatoes, cauliflower, peaches, and corn. The quality is good, but the prices are through the roof!
It was still a nice visit and a great opportunity to bring home some locally grown produce.

What a fun family activity. I think we should also have more of these markets locally. That would help connect more farmers with direct buyers. That should help lessen wastage and perhaps it will help lower the prices a bit and also help the farmers more. Thank you for sharing your experience with us :)
