My dad and I drove about 45 minutes to Port Huron for a visit to Tumb Coast CBD, where they had a seminar on the effects of CBD on the body.
Some of it I knew, some of it was new to me.
It's called Thumb Coast because their first location was in the "Thumb" of Michigan. If you imagine Michigan as a mitten, they would be in the Thumb.
They are a family owned and operating business. The CBD sold there is grown from hemp farms in Michigan. It is also extracted in Michigan. This really is a local business!
This store is amazing, because not only do they sell product, but it's almost like a mini-museum. Information all over about CBD and the health effects of the full spectrum.
We got to sit down with the owner of the company, Kyle, and learned a bit about the business, product and positive effects on the body. We also got to hear some various stories from the foundation of the business and a bit about various extraction methods.
CBD is very expensive, but for sitting through the seminar we got 25% off our purchase. I picked up some "sleepytime" CBD that is designed to encourage sleep.
None of their products contain any significant THC.

Sounds like it was a productive trip, Benjamin. I have several patients who swear by Full Spectrum CBD oil products. If there is anything that concerns me, it is the purity of the CBD so I always tell them to be buying from a reputable dealer. Otherwise, I give them the okay to use it.
From the discussion with Kyle at Thumb Coast, that was one of the take-aways. He said there are a lot of questionable products out there making claims that are not necessarily so. It's not cheap to make quality product, so anyone selling for low prices is likely not offering a very good product.
He would like to open a dispensary with a doctor's office attached, so clients can get optimal dosing and fine-tune the optimal spectrum for their particular ailment.
It sounds like an interesting trip and I don't use any CBD.

That looks like a very cool place to visit, very informative too. It's nice that it's all done in the same State, no worries about conflicts with other State policies.
I was on increasing levels of morphine for almost a decade, but after my body started to no longer get any pain relief from it I asked my doctor about any alternative options and they suggested medical marijuana could help me and I have been using CBD oil for several years now. It was a great help to me once I got over the idea of buying and using "pot". 😊
I highly recommend it to anyone that has chronic pain like I do, it gave me back what the morphine couldn't. I'm very grateful that it was given to me as an option and I'll never go back on morphine or any of the other narcotics big Pharma offers again. Between the various oils, edibles and other choices I'm set for pain relief now. Thank God, because it was a rough go for me; for a while there I thought I was cursed and would be better off gone (but that was the pain), but I've felt extremely blessed since it was introduced to me. 😊

It really is one of God's best pain relievers, at least that's what I've found true for me. Me too, that morphine was rough in more ways than one and the fact that I was having to keep increasing the amount for the most minimal relief, if any at all, just wasn't worth it for me to stay on. Getting off of it wasn't much fun either, but God and my handsome husband got me through it and life has gotten so much better since. You're most welcome. Other than the weather, (cold wind with freezing rain that turned into snow and then to rain,) we had a great day here, thank you. 😊

This store was in a shopping mall next to the food court! Technically, it's still illegal to sell from a Federal standpoint, but the laws have been effectively NULLIFIED in the states, especially Michigan. You can get weed delivered to your door around here!
I sure did, I got a bottle of "sleepytime" CBD, it's been great! It's not psychoactive, but it does help get a good night's rest.
