The Old San Francisco Mint Commemorative Silver Dollar

This might look like the reverse of the famous "Morgan" Silver Dollar, but it was minted in 2006! It's the Old San Francisco Mint Commemorative Silver dollar.

This Is An Interesting One

Every time you look at a US coin, often times there is a mint mark somewhere on the coin. A capital "P" or "D" or "S" will indicate which mint made the coin. The San Francisco mint is a major producer of coins, so there are a lot of "S" mint marks out there.

They all came from "The Granite Lady", the San Francisco Mint.

The Old San Francisco Mint

The building is no longer used to mint coins, now it's used for formal events like weddings and Illuminati meetings.

Interesting and historic building for sure.

I'd prefer a venue on a sailing ship, maybe the USS Constitution. All invited guests in their best 18th Century Pirate or appropriate apparel. Ceremonies, Dinner, and entertainment on board followed by a sword fight. At the end of the evening each guest will receive a specially made .999 Silver Piece of Eight and a letter of Marque from the Bloody Raven.

I think that would outdo a "mint" wedding anyday. If you're ever planning on getting married, make sure to send an invitation our way, sounds like a good time! :-)
