We Are Past the Frost Date

The frost date in Michigan is May 15th and we're experiencing some warm weather. It's time to get some seeds in the ground! We are growing Japanese Noodle Beans.

Blueberries!

Our tiny blueberry plants are flowering and we are going to get a few handfuls of blueberries this year. Nothing much but these are the third year, next summer we are expecting a bountiful harvest! For now they are ornamental.

Well Hello Again, Mr. Comfrey

Every year we cut off all the leaves of our comfrey plant - usually two or three times a summer - and every year it comes back. It's a very hardy plant, surviving as nothing but a stump! What a tenacious plant!

We make a comfrey tea out of the leaves, which is very good for adding nutrients to the garden.

How Does Your Garden Grow?

I know our friends south of us have already planted, we're excited to begin seeing those sprouts. Do you have seeds or young plants in the ground yet?

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books. I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.

Use coupon code FORTY for 40% off your purchase! Check out the books here.

I'm in Texas and we started our garden in late March-early April. We've already harvested baby spinach, cucumbers, and green onions. Still to come are peppers (hot and sweet), carrots, tomatoes, and okra. We also have a variety of herbs and flowers. This is our first year at gardening. So far it's been going well.

Yay for blueberries! Those flowers are gorgeous. We can't get blueberries to grow here. But strawberries do very well. Your lovely wife is blooming too @ironshield. Blessings for the coming Shabbat
