HELLO FRESH: Making Beef Ragu Spaghetti

I've Made Spaghetti Before... But Not Like This!

Starts With All the Fresh Ingredients

The best part of HELLO FRESH are the fresh ingredients. And they are not kidding. The veggies are in great shape, the spices are proportioned exactly and they all work together just like they should.

Zucchini, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, pasta, cheese, ground beef, seasoning, beef stock - All the ingredients we need to make some really good Spaghetti!

Dice up that Zucchini!

Little onion bits, perfect!

Our ingredients, ready to cook. It's like a cooking show!

Browning the ground beef. Adding salt/pepper to taste.

Set this aside for a while.

Cooking up the onions, garlic and zucchini.

Nice and caramelized. Smell's amazing!

Add in tomato sauce, spices, beef stock and some water from the pasta.

Put in the ground beef and a nice big pad of butter!

Putting it All Together

Meanwhile the pasta is cooking and getting soft. I added sea salt and filtered water for the best pasta flavors.

Drain it and add butter, sea salt and pepper (and some garlic powder).

Put our ragu on top and add some parmesan cheese. Perfect! Ready to eat!

This Was Probably My Best Spaghetti Meal Ever

This one was really easy to put together. The flavors were fantastic and the meat/veggie ratio was exactly right. I hadn't thought about adding beef stock and butter to a spaghetti dish, but it worked great. The flavors were very complimentary and the portion size was really good on this one. We fed a family of 7 (with leftovers) even though the meal was meant for two servings.

Overall, I'd give this one five stars!

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.

I have yet to see a meal that I would not enjoy myself!
Which leads me to a question, have you gotten a meal that you would not rate very high?

The lemon chicken was only so so, but it might have been how we cooked it. Salmon limone has been our favorite so far.
