Brilliant Proof Lincoln Cent 1957

I opened the BOX full of mystery items and this golden penny shined up at me, saying "photograph me, I dare you!" So I dared.

It is a challenge photographing these through the plastic without fibers and scratches showing up. The coin is in perfect condition, but the encapsulation has seen some wear.

I'll keep practicing and I hope the results I get so far are worthy of your attention.

There's a teleportation hole in the "O" in ONE CENT. Just jump inside and be transported to 1957!

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books. I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.

Beautiful gem of a coin! Lincoln cents is where I started collecting as a kid, so I still love seeing great coins like yours. Thanks for sharing!

It strikes me as a very unique looking penny. Do you think it may have been chemically cleaned some time ago to give that petina brass look instead of copper?

Interesting observation, yes it does have a brass color in the photos, but that might be a trick of the photography and the led lighting. IRL it has a very orange almost red color. The petina is actually a proof mirror finish, which is tricky to photograph. The coin doesn't have the tell-tale signs of cleaning as any chemical cleaning would destroy the mirror finish. However, I can see how it might look like it in the photos.

Now is it really rated a PR70? I'm not so sure, but that's what the very official looking label says! Thank you for your comment!

Would love to see it. It must be even lovelier than it looks in your photos.

Looks beautiful! I’m lucky to see it. When I opened ecency, it was the first article. And then it jumped and I lost it. I love collecting coins and the mystery boxes are sooooo exciting. !ALIVE !PIZZA
