"Be Alert for Big Boys" is an Illustrated Novel

My girls have been practicing their writing (printing) and drawing skills as a part of their education. The spelling still needs some work, but the creative effort shines though.

The story is completely original and all illustrations are by the authors.

Chapter One: Double Dutch

Once upon a time there were three little girls. That is the girl's favorite jump roping. It is double-dutch. The little girls were named Lora, Klara and Dina. But little did they know that the big boys were in their tree house planning and spying.

Chapter Two: It's a TRAP!

The big boys trapped Klara and Dina! It was all up to Lora to get them out. Lora climbed up the tree house and got them out. The big boys planned to trap all of the girls. But not only had they NOT gotten all of the girls, the girls that they did get escaped. (That is a good thing.)

Chapter Three: Do You Want to Play?

Then Lora asked "Do you want to play?" The big boys said "We do not play with girls!" and they went away. In the tree house, the big boys were planning.

Chapter Four: The Little Bird

Lora had a little bird that she raised from a baby. The bird listened to everything it could. It was not going to trap the big boys. So the girls (two of them) dressed up as big boys. It did not work, but they had another idea.

Chapter Five: The Wire

They set up a trap. Meanwhile, the big boys were planning to make a prison to trap the girls in. The girls put a basket full of food at the bottom of the tree house. When the big boys came down, they saw the basket. When they got it, they tripped on a wire. It called their mommy and daddy and the girls chuckled. And they lived happily ever after. The end.

And They Lived Happily Ever After

This is the conclusion of the war of the children. The big boys had their small victories, but in the end they lost the war. Ultimately their daddy and mommy got involved and it was all over.

The lesson I learn from this short novel is that if you are plotting against girls from your tree house and you see a basket full of food, be alert for tripwires that call your parents.

The end.

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.

Yes. If they are interested in book writing, they may become good and successful book authors, when they grow up.
