National Park Bohemian Switzerland - NP České Švýcarsko

This national park is situated in Northern Bohemia at borders with Germany and at their side the park continues as Saxony Switzerland. Sandstone rocks were shaped by waters of the river Elba (Labe in Czech) and Kamenice. Water formed there several canyons and gorges. I intended to visit this tourist attraction for a long time and this summer I finally succeeded.
Navštívit České Švýcarsko jsem měl v plánu už dlouho a letos se konečně zadařilo. Hlavní atrakce jsme viděli, ale něco jsme si nechali i na příště, jen doufám, že mi to zas nebude trvat dvacet let.

Pravcice Gate is the greatest natural rock gate in Europe. It can be reached from Hrensko or Mezní louka, both paths are 6 kilometres long. There may be difficulties with parking, so I recommend leaving car in Decin and go by bus to the stop Pravcicka brana. From there it is only 2 kilometres. The enter fee to the gate costs 4 euros.
K Pravčické bráně se dá dostat od Hřenska nebo z parkoviště na Mezní louce, které ale v turistické sezoně bývá brzy obsazené. Proto je lepší nechat auto v Děčíně a vystoupit na zastávce Pravčické brána. Odtud je to k cíli 2 kilometry. Kdo chce vidět bránu úplně zblízka, musí uhradit vstupné 95 Kč.

Boat sail on river Kamenice through the Wild gorge or Edmund's gorge is another attraction. During sail you get bilingual (Czech and German) funny narration about the area. You can get there from the parking in Mezni louka.
Další atrakcí je plavba po říčce Kamenici Divokou nebo Edmundovou soutěskou se zábavným výkladem.

Village Hřensko lies on the confluence of Kamenice and Elba, you can see there for this area typical half-timbered houses almost clued to the rocks. There are either parking lots or stands with souvenirs in front of each house, both of them look awfully.
Rád bych ukázal nějakou pěknou fotku z Hřenska. Což o to, hrázděné domy tu přilepené ke skalám vypadají dobře, jen kdyby před každým nestál stánek s příšernostmi nebo v lepším případě nacpané parkoviště.

If you decide to visit Bohemian Switzerland count at least one day for Decin.
Pokud plánujete pobyt v Českém Švýcarsku, nezapomeňte vyhradit alespoň den pro Děčín.

Not far from the national park in Kamenický Šenov is abundantly visited basalt rock called Organ. There used to be a stone pit but one hundred years ago this unique formation started to be protected. The town is also wellknown for the traditional production of chandeliers and cut glass.
Když už zavítáte do Čského Švýcarska, byla by škoda opomenout čedičovou Panskou skálu s kamennými varhanami v nedalekém Kamenickém Šenově. Ve městě je i muzeum odkazující na tradici výroby lustrů a broušeného skla.
