"Ambulance" - To the Point Movie Review

A "bad guys are chased by the police for the entire movie" movie, with overly excessive drone, and every-other-excessively-dramatic-and-panoramic shot available in cinema today, and with way too obvious car ballet going on (it's a Michael Bay, after all!), but with a good Jake Gyllenhaal performance, as with all his movies.

Mindless, but fast paced action movie, with a superficial sprinkle of "this is wrong - this is right", just cause i think it's mandatory that movies have these!

One or two interesting scenes, and one "ha!" joke or two.

Excessive drone and dramatic shots apart, it's completely watchable if you're up for some mindless action.

The first half is just the result of Michael Bay realizing he can shoot movies with drones now, and turning the nob on how many drone shots he can put in a single movie, but the second half becomes a bit less of that, and intense..or serious..or real; like a movie made by an adult, as opposed to a kid playing with drones.

"How many senseless, visually rad drone shots you want, Michael?" "YES!"

This lobby shot is actually good.

GTA5 vibes at 100%. Too bad we see this shot for a split second, as opposed to holding the camera behind the car for a second or two.

Some of these shots are actually cool and frame the scene well. Others are just pointless drones acrobatics.

In the end i rate this movie a... 4 out of 10.

Silly shots, uninteresting plot. Jake saves the day with his acting. That's it.
