I understand your choices to invest, and I agree with you. THose cards will certainly improve your game. I confess it upsets me a little the pelacor being rare gains a second skill at level 5 and it is flying (which one suppose it has or gain at lower levels).

I think the team have to also balance out the different skills in the splinter, maybe the monsters in the life splinter doesn't have many flying skills compared to the others so that could be a consideration ....
